Put microchips in prisoners to track them, tech bosses told minister

Microchips could be inserted under offenders’ skin to track their movements, tech firms told the prisons minister. The proposal for “subcutaneous tracking” was put forward by tech bosses as a way of monitoring the behaviour and health of offenders 24/7 in real time.
