Bolsonaro’s son used influence with Trump to undermine father’s trial

The son of Jair Bolsonaro has been convicted of illegally lobbying Donald Trump to intervene in the trial of his father. The former Brazilian president was jailed in September for plotting a military coup to stay in power after he lost the 2022 election to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the incumbent Left-wing leader.
