US-blacklisted Chinese firm to install battery stations on UK roads

Battery-swapping stations for electric lorries are to be rolled out on Britain’s roads by a Chinese company that has been blacklisted by the US government. The devices made by Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Ltd (CATL) will allow truck drivers to replace depleted batteries in less than five minutes, rather than waiting for them to recharge.
